Yes, they have a name for you, BUT – I call you POISON!

Poison,

I knew about you and your existence way before I knew what you were really capable of. I was young and naive when you were first introduced to me and maybe because you were not affecting me directly, I ignored you. I had family members who died because of you, but they were old people so in my little mind, I thought, well this must be associated with age. But over the last 10 years or so you have been rampant in my life. You have moved closer to the people in my inner world…..you have seeped your way in my life and you have become like venom. I was reading Genesis a few minutes ago and I was reading how God cursed the serpent…..you POISON reminds me of the serpent. Yes, they have a name for you, BUT – I call you poison. Today, I curse you.

About 8 to 10 years ago you crept into my friend Charlene; she died a few months ago because you refused to give her a break. What is wrong with you, why do you seem to want to live in people who are not deserving of you, people who are trying to make a success out of life? Why can’t you leave my friends alone? I have a friend who is about to go another round with you in a week or so, but you know what we are not afraid of you. She is about to fight you with all that she has and I am going to give her my support. I will petition heaven every chance I get so that you will remove yourself from her. Yes, they have a name for you, BUT – I call you poison.

My friend Shelley is broken because once again you have visited her husband, somehow you enjoy what you do but he is stronger than you think he is and he will fight you. It is time that someone out there find a way to destroy you. You have no regard for who you affect; you do not care what the person does or have been through. But I know God is more powerful than any harm and damage you can do and I will also petition heaven for him. Yes, they have a name for you, BUT – I call you poison.

I will let you know today, you will one day be defeated, you will one day stop hurting so many people….you will one day be cast down. I hate you and what you do; I hate you and the pain you cause. I hate you and the lives you have ruined. Yes, they have a name for you, BUT – I call you poison. Today, I curse you.

So, this is all for today January 3rd 2011, (my nieces Shani and Romane’s birthday). YES, CANCER is the name they have for you – BUT I call you POISON.

Today’s Word – Kindness

Just 4 You

Kindness

I find in life that if you want to have a great day you need to make someone else’s day first.  You never know how much your one little smile or “hello!” could mean to a person.  Even if that person is just a passerby.  Always smile, even when you do not feel like it.  Say hello to that unsuspecting person on the street.  You do not have to stop and have a conversation with them;  small kindnesses can go a long way in healing you and others.  Can you imagine how our world would change if everyone smiled and said hello as they walked down the street instead of frowning and grumbling about how bad their day is?

Next time you are cut off on the road or someone pulls up to you in traffic and thinks you have done them an injustice, SMILE and wave, not sarcastically but nicely.  It just may make that person rethink themselves.  When you feed into their anger, it makes them feel/act worse.  That smile may just be what they need.  I know I always smile or say excuse me when in a store, whether I feel like it or not.  It teaches my children to be courteous and considerate and may just catch that person off guard because you are unlike so many others around who are rude.
